I hate it when old people make me look like a inconsiderate douche bag. The greyhound was full, and I had to use the washroom. So, of course, I put my backpack on my seat and left. Only gone for like 3 minutes tops, I come back and two old women were sitting in my seat and my backpack was up in the storage slot. I walk up to my seat and I look at my backpack and then at the old women.

“Sorry, you’re in my seat.”
“Oh, I didn’t think you’d be coming back.”
“That was the reason why my backpack was there…”
“Well then… I guess I’ll stand.”

So she ends up standing while I sit back in my seat. I left like a douche, but it wasn’t my fault. The greyhound shouldn’t of over sold seats, and old people should know by now the rules of life. EVERYONE knows if something is on the seat, that means it’s saved. I am not a rude douche bag. Yes, I know. ‘Always give up your seat to the elderly’ but no. That’s so unfair. Just because I was the only young person on the bus (Since literally everyone else on the bus was 60+) doesn’t mean that I get singled out and have to lose my seat. I paid $40 for that seat, and I will sit in that seat until it’s no longer needed by myself. Plus, you shouldn’t be touching other peoples things in the first place!
